WATCH ALL THESE VIDEOS AND ANSWER QUESTIONS BY USING ATTACHED POWERPOINTS BE AS SPECFIC AS POSSIBLE
1. Which of these pieces was your favorite? Please describe why in detail as best you can using terminology and ideas from class. If you did not like any, you may describe either what you didnt like (musically) or some aspects of some piece here. NOTE: I am interested in your musical analysis abilities here, so make that your focus.
2. Contrast the piece you discussed in #1 with another of the four using terminology, ideas, and skills weve used in class. Why do you like your choice from #1 better? What is different about them? What is similar? NOTE: Again, this is an analysis question.
3. This album is highly intertextual since everything is based on a book by Eduardo Galeano. How is this different than the examples of intertextuality we discussed in class? Are you familiar with any other music that is intertextual in a similar way as Cortiass work?
4. We discussed k-pop in class and the relationship between video and music. This album is also meant to be consumed aurally (listening) and visually. How are these videos different from the k-pop we saw in class? Specifically focus on the relationship between visuals and music and the overall aesthetic qualities of the visual aspect of these pieces. You may pick one representative piece from the 4 if you wish.
