09 Nov Texas Governmant
Write a 2-minute speech explaining your selected key concept to the class. Make sure that you use language and examples that 7th-grade students would understand. You may also want to account for the possibility that the class may have English Language Learners; who may not be familiar with Texas government or the U.S. government. Please remember that 7th-grade students have a shorter attention span than most adults. So, be sure to be succinct and engaging.
Example: How would you explain the Texas checks and balances to 7th-graders?
Things to Consider:
- Did you write at least 100 words?
- Is the main idea supported by detailed information?
- Are the details presented in a way that effectively keeps the readers interest?
- Is your voice strong and engaging? Did you draw the reader in?
- Did you formulate a thought-provoking, well-developed, and fairly original perspective on the topic?
- Did you draw distinct parallels to course terminology and key points?
- Did you provide compelling and insightful evidence/examples that demonstrate your perspective? Did you use quotes and data?
- Is your submission in essay format and directly related to the topic or question(s) asked?
