Directions: For the signature assignment, students will complete a comprehensive test review. The student will identify and construct a document recognizing integral components of assessment that include: reliability, validity, norm reference groups, criterion referenced groups, standardization sample, and ethical/legal constraints of a standardized instrument for assessment. The student will chose a standardized test, such as WISC-IV, MMPI-2, BDI-2, from the list provided. The paper will consist of a minimum of three sources (Mental Measurements Yearbook) plus two other. The student will write (using APA format, 8-10 pages content) a comprehensive analysis of the instrument as reported by authoritative sources (The Mental Measurements Yearbook, Peer Reviewed Journals, and the Test Publisher), which shall include the following information:
• Test publisher
• Cost of the test
• Test user qualifications
• Time to administer
• Review of standardization sample
• Review of reliability and validity
• Limitations of test (Groups for which the assessment may not be appropriate)
• Ethical/legal considerations Students should use the following sources:
• Mental Measurement Yearbook (Required)
• Peer reviewed journal articles
• Test publisher website
