DST STORY PLANNING ASSIGNMENT
The purpose of this assignment is to support the planning process to create a digital story. Planning is primary to the creation of a successful digital story. There are a variety of approaches you can take to planning for your story. The resources below can assist you in deciding on your approach and the planning tools that are the best fit for you. In particular, Ohler (2013), Part II: The Art and Practice of Storytelling provides guidance for this process and strategies for incorporating digital storytelling in the classroom.

Assignment Details
The story planning assignment consists of three components. Create and submit each of the planning artifacts for the digital story you are developing.
- Story Core (Ohler Chapter 5; p. 96-103)
The key components of the story including: a) The hero’s problem or challenge; b) hero’s transformation; c) hero’s resolution. OR
2. Story Map (Ohler Chapters 5-9)
The story core with plot and flow of action and emotion; a sketch.
3. Script (Ohler Chapter 6 & Tech4Learning)
4. Story Table (Ohler Chapter 6 & Tech4Learning)
