Trace the historical development of two (2) different fire departments in your area 1 (combination/volunteer) and 1 (career professional).
Highlight such milestones as what year they went to hiring paid vs. volunteer firefighters
The years that the department started adoption of fire codes the department uses and follows first use of motorized fire apparatus
When they started providing EMS or if they do and how they do it. Do they have paramedics?
Size of the department and how many people work there as both sworn and volunteer. What is the rank structure of the department? Who are the chiefs/deputies/captains?
Growth of department from inception to now with dates
Calls a year and the statistical analysis for the last year of the department on types of calls and the breakdown.
This is to be presented in a PowerPoint Format with pictures and graphs of the information required for the assignment. If there is too much information for a slide, put the information into the notes section on the PowerPoint slide.
