This week we will read about the Harlem Renaissance. During the 1920’s, in Harlem, New York, African Americans and the arts were celebrated. From writers to painters, and from dancers to musicians, African American culture was celebrated.
Read pages 172; 178-181; and 185-187 from the textbook
After completing the reading assignment type a one-page summary and upload it into Canvas. Reading summaries, worth 5 points each, will be graded on the clarity of expression, organization of ideas, thoughtful analysis, written primarily in your own words, and proper citations.
