1. How does kiosk reporting reveal the low interest and investment of probation and parole agencies in providing assistance in employment and social services?
2.What are your thoughts on this week’s TED Talk? Certainly some of our offenders are incredibly violent and reprehensible, and should be locked away for long periods of times. For many others, perhaps more humane and more restorative/rehabilitative approaches might have more successful results, especially when we know that the majority of our ex-offenders will be returning to society. Thoughts?
3.Now that you have read the weekly reading material, was there anything new that you learned? Did anything surprise you? Was there any part of the weekly material that you found ‘muddy’ or in need of clarification?
