Since we are also on the Middle East and North Africa, it is a good week to look at energy resources. Where do we get our energy from? Who produces it and who uses it and how much? How does it get from producer to consumer? Of course we have the Alaska pipeline almost in our own backyard!
Is Ireland a net consumer or producer of energy (oil, gas, coal, hydro, but also ethanol, wind, solar)? What are the economic and political implications of this? What is the environmental impact? How does energy change the way your country interacts with other countries and regions of the world?
