09 Nov Invent a Culture
Your job is to create a culture that doesn’t currently exist. In order to establish a culture, its people should have some things in common, which you should describe in details. Categories for these commonalities might include (but are not limited to):
- clothing style
- gender roles
- spiritual beliefs
- traditions
- rites of passage
- laws and rules
- social expectations
- education format
- hobbies
- housing/dwellings
- daily routines
- physical appearance
- etc.
You can write about this culture from the first-person perspective (as if you are living in it) or from a documentary perspective (as if you’re reporting on it.) Yes, you can use humor!
