09 Nov Discussions Managing Conflict & Negotiations
Please answer the following questions below and keep the format. See the attachment with my initial response post along with the students I will be responding to. I have also attached an example of Aggie’s responses for you.
First RP:
- Identify by name the student to whose IP you are making a RP-1
- Identify their and your conflict style
- If you both have the same conflict style, what are three ways your shared conflict style would likely cause a conflict between you and the IP author to be functional/mutually beneficial? If your conflict styles are different, what are three ways your different conflict styles would likely cause a conflict between you and the IP author to escalate?
- What stood out for you about why the IP author was so successful in their best conflict-handling story (Q3)? Explain by including reference to one conflict concept from Chapter 10 that is different from the one referenced in the IP and include citation with page number
Second RP:
Locate an IP that has at least one RP-1
- Identify the authors of the IP & RP-1 by name
- Having read the IP & RP-1 for QS2, what are two lessons you learned that you will commit to use in your future conflicts at work or in your personal life?
