Point of the exercise:  Earlyin your academics within higher education, it is expected that you do a basicresearch project.   This research projectwill have you investigate a major issue that is present in Texas and link anylegislative bills with the solution to the problem as this January began the 87^thlegislative session in Texas.  Overall,your job is to investigate an issue then present a possible legislativeissue.  Even if the two are not directlyconnected as problem and then solution, you will have a certain amount offlexibility as I want them to relate in some way.
