JOB ANALYSIS PROJECT: TOPIC SUBMISSION AND ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW
Job analysis is the overall process of “gathering, analyzing, synthesizing and reporting information about job requirements and rewards” (Judge et al., 2022, p. 154). It is described as “the foundation upon which successful staffing systems are constructed” (Judge et al., 2022, p. 154). This assignment is the first step in creating a job description through a job analysis, which you will do in later in the term. A full job analysis is significant undertaking; therefore, a proper plan is important for what resources you might need.
INSTRUCTIONS
You will choose a topic and create an annotated bibliography as a precursor to the second part of the Job Analysis Project. This assignment must (1) identify the position (topic) that you are looking at for the second part of the Job Analysis Project, and (2) include a brief annotated bibliography that contains at least 3 resources that you will use to find information on the Job Analysis Project (1 of these 3 resources must be the O*NET website at http://www.onetonline.org/ ). Resources can include areas such as personal knowledge, interviews, or reliable online sources. All resources must be placed in an annotated bibliography in current APA format.
Note: You only need a few lines for the annotation of each resource. The entire assignment must be less than 1 page. No title page is required. If you are using personal interviews or personal knowledge, just include that in a brief statement (e.g., “Personal knowledge as a bank teller,” etc.) and then explain in the annotation (personal interviews and personal knowledge are not typically cited in an APA reference list).
Note: This assignment will be checked for originality via the SafeAssign plagiarism tool.
