Reflect on the three competencies of this course. Consider how they might directly apply to your life and work environment when answering the questions below.
- Competency 1: The student will be able to determine scope of practice requirements as part of their development of a compliance initiative.
- Competency 2: Students will be able to evaluate and justify participation in an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and will be able to analyze and visualize trends in unsecured health security breaches.
- Competency 3: Students will be able to apply the Five Whys process to identify and explore unethical practices in order to better understand the root causes of unethical behavior and to improve their own ethical leadership skill set.
Question #1:How could you utilize a matrix to identify ways to meet major compliance initiatives in your current organization? How could you apply trends in graphs and charts to identifying insights for your current position? Provide an example, either within your work environment or in society at large, of when using the Five Whys process or root cause analysis could illuminate an issue you are facing.
