09 Nov History 202: Principles of War
Write a three page (3) (no more than 3 pages) position paper on the following question:
Relate the ideas expressed by Jomini and Clausewitz to the "American Way of War" as theorized by Linn and Weigley. Analyze the concepts defined and brought forward by Jomini and Clausewitz and integrate those into Linn and Weigley’s theory. Are there descrepencies? Where do the ideas differ/agree? Utilize as a guide the 9 Principles of Warfare we studied in Week 1.
Be sure to apply proper Chicago Manual of Style notations in your paper, utilizing footnotes and a full bibliography at the end of the paper with all of your sources listed. Papers should be double-spaced, with standard 1-inch margins and a 12 point standard font. Papers significantly shorter or significantly longer than this will be penalized.
