Project: Warehouse Shopping Center
A shopping center or a mall is such a massive project that requires careful planning and execution. Shopping centers are designed to serve the needs of various clients. They do have such facilities as shops, packing, recreation areas, restaurants, movie shops among other facilities. The main stakeholders of such a massive project are; the developer, the investors, occupants, customers, statutory organizations, event sponsors, outside advertisers among many others.
i. Resource Management Plan
Some of the things to consider are the resources needed for the success of the project, the budgetary allocations for every stage of the project, as well as project adjustments. Each resource must be allocated the right amount of time and matched to the right tasks. Most importantly, resources should be scheduled based on the projected availability.
ii. Communications Management Plan
Project communication planning ensures that project information is distributed through the right channels and in a timely manner.
iii. Stakeholder Management Plan
The first step in stakeholder management is identifying the right stakeholders. Once they have been identified, a thorough research is conducted to establish their suitability. As soon as the stakeholders have been listed in terms of priority, they can be contacted.
iv. Resource Acquisition Plan
Resource acquisition is done through negotiations with other project managers. Virtual teams can be involved in brainstorming processes as well as decision making. What is more, the project team must develop a physical resource assignment document.
v. Team Development Plan
Upon choosing the right people to participate in the project, the project managers should set the tone and ground rules. The goals should be clear and achievable. They should also be used to building team spirit and enthusiasm.
