Fractions at the Finish Line Portfolio
The track team at your town’s high school has been training hard all season long in preparation for the biggest meet of the year. The girls and boys both have strong relay teams, and their individual running times were recorded after their races. You will use their results to help you answer questions about fractions and mixed numbers. Then you will use the Try, Check, and Revise strategy to figure out how to transport the runners home from their big meet. Use your knowledge of adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers throughout the project, and you will definitely finish strong!
