2. In this course some dichotomies in anthropological theorizing have been presented:
· Contingent – deterministic
· Ideational – materialistic
· Nature – nurture
Choose one of these dichotomies and provide two recent (within the last 10 years)
examples of opposing approaches (not using any of the examples provided in the class
material). You will be graded on how well you clearly identify the epistemological basis
of the approaches you choose and how they are applied to specific cases.
