Discussion Board Topic:
Describe the current state of capital punishment in Florida today.  Remember to include the U.S. and Florida Supreme Courts’ previous opinions on capital punishment and how these previous opinions are now affecting the statutory law and criminal procedure.

This discussion will require some outside research.  You might want to begin by searching on Google, but do not be afraid to utilize the librarians to help you dig deeper into the topic of capital punishment.  There has been a lot of recent litigation surrounding the legality of capital punishment.  Remember to be exhaustive in your research so you have the most recent developments included.  You might want to discuss the recent legislative history, or analyze the current issues/concerns with capital punishment according to the Court(s).
