STUDENT PROJECT GUIDELINES

1. INTRODUCTION

As part of the requirements in Industrial Marketing, a student is required to undertake a project. This project is based on Industrial buyer (and not individual consumer) and project report should consist the following:

Industrial Marketing Practices and Trends in ________________ (Specify the Company)

· The report including the following

i. About the company (1 Mark)

ii. The types of Industrial Buying (1 Mark)

iii. Different buying situations (1 Mark)

iv. Decision making Units (1 Mark)

v. Vendor selection process and Documentation (2 Marks )

vi. Marketing Mix in the Industrial Buying (4 Ps) (4 Marks )

· The selected company need to be approved before start of the project.

· The project is equivalent to 15 marks as per below:

· Written Report / Research Paper 10 Marks

PPT Presentation 05 Marks

2. TEAM MEMBERS

Each team will have minimum two (2) students and maximum three (3) students. Each team must be approved by the lecturer.

3. WRITTEN REPORT FORMAT AND REQUIREMENTS

The written report has to be submitted via the Turnitin along with the PPT presentation in the e-learning portal. The report should follow the senior project formatting. The written report should have approximately 1500 words which consist of the following:

A. Title Page – The title page of the project proposal shall have the following information:

· The name of the College & the Department

· Full title of the project

· Submitted to (Name of Lecturer)

· Submitted by (Names of Team Members)

· Date Submitted

B. Table of Contents shall list in sequence with page numbers in all sections

C. Introduction – serves to introduce the research topic and the purpose of the study (Estimated 1 pages)

D. Discussions – This is generally the longest section of the research project. The objective is to present and explain the major topics of the study (Estimated 3-5 pages)

E. Conclusions –The project should provide conclusion and/or recommendations for practice or improvement and for further studies (Estimated 1 page)

4. PLAGIARISM IN RESEARCH PROJECT

Plagiarism is the presentation of someone else’s ideas or words as your own. Plagiarism is a serious and punishable offense in research projects.

The students are expected to do individual/group work. Dishonesty of any kind will not be tolerated. It is a serious offence and will lead to failure in the course. Cheating or copying of any form leads to dishonesty.

All assignments, project reports will be scrutinized using Turnitin Software to check for plagiarism.

Students found guilty of plagiarism will get a Zero (0) in the research project or may even fail in the subject/course

5. Important Dates:

I. Approval of company and team: March 3 ,2022

II. Submission of Project: December March 30,2022

III. Presentation Dates: To be Announced later.

7. PRSENTATION ASSESSMENT

Your will be assessed and evaluated individually based on the following criteria:

Presentation and communication skills 3 Marks

Knowledge of Topic 1 Mark

Question and Answer 1 Mark

Total 5 Marks

*For the presentation, all the group members must do their individual participation during the presentation for their respective individual assessment; otherwise, absence during the group presentation will mean a zero (0) mark for the absentee member.
