For this discussion, begin by completing the following tasks:
1. Select one of the major body systems introduced this week.
2. Research the body system you selected using the Week 2 reading materials, University Library, or any other credible sources on the Internet.
Due Thursday:
Post a substantive response that addresses each of the following components (minimum 175 words):
• Discuss the body system you selected using medical terminology you learned during your research.
• Highlight and detail an illness or disease that impacts this system. For example, the respiratory system can be affected by cigarette smoking, which may result in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
• Explain how deepening your understanding of body systems and the conditions that affect them will benefit you in your chosen career path in health care.
