16 Apr Operations Management – Layout
Order Instructions
You volunteer for a non-profit organization that has a local branch managed by Alyx. When Alyx found out about your promotion to operations manager, she was eager to have your help. The old layout for their building worked fine, but with an increase in business, they would like to make things more efficient. Alyx would also like you to find a better place for the two copier/printers that are shared throughout the building. Each part of the building uses them except for the conference room and the kitchen. Right now, they are both in the conference room. Is there a better place to put the printers?
You realize you have two separate problems to solve:
1. Create a better layout to minimize people flow.
2. Find a more central location for the copier/printers.
3.Provide a clearly labeled layout for Alyx.
Add a Muther Diagram. For the layouts, you can consider process layout, product layout. combination layout or group layout.
All calculations and supporting diagrams should be placed in the appendix
