In 2016, The Hotel Asset Managers Association (HAMA) surveyed their members for the most important issues facing the industry.  The five top issues were:

• Increases to the minimum wage
• Online Travel Agents (OTAs)
• Airbnb
• Social Media
• International Travel to the US

For your final assignment in this course, you will be taking a forward looking view at how one of these areas is likely to unfold in the next five to ten years, and what impact it will have on the hotel industry.  You may select which of the five you wish to investigate.You need to do original research, and  should reflect an ability to synthesize information. However, the goal of this assignment is get you to think about the future, not simply summarize what has happened in the recent past. You should use your critical thinking skills to extrapolate what the future may bring, and back up your points with evidence.You should use the PESTEL Framework to prepare .  Based on the topic you choose, view the future situation through the lens of the impact to or from the Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental, and Legal external environments. should be original,  well organized, clear, and concise – approximately 1,000 to 1,500 words.
