Mayoral Ceremonial Document Requests
Thank you for your interest in requesting a ceremonial document from the
Office of Mayor Jay W. Wagner.
It is the policy of the Office of the Mayor to have consistent guidelines regarding
Mayoral ceremonial documents, which include Mayoral Proclamations, Resolutions and
Letters.
The decision to issue a ceremonial document is reserved for the Mayor and is used to
acknowledge efforts and commitment of individuals and organizations who enhance our
City.
Contact the City of High Point Mayor’s office or your City Council representative to
request a recognition.
Requests for ceremonial documents should be submitted as follows:
• Submit in draft form
• 8.5 x 11 inch page
• 5 Max “Whereas” statements
• 300 Word Limit
• Submit well in advance of “due date” – Minimum of 1 week (5 business day
