Instructions
As a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner, it is important that you have the ability to communicate effectively with both clinical and non-clinical team members. To evaluate this skill, you will develop a presentation suitable to present to the project site administration. Include the following criteria and use the grading rubric as a guide for the development of your presentation. An extensive lit review is not required- just enough to justify the usefulness of the project to improve patient outcomes. You need to address the cost of the project, including supplies, salaries, etc.
MY TOPIC IS: Organization of a Community Health Fair
1. Discuss the actual or expected results of your project. Be sure to include a clear discussion of the purpose of the project, evidence used to support the value of the project, and the outcomes of the intervention. Make sure to present this information in a clear and understandable manner for both clinical and non-clinical audience members.
2. Discuss the financial benefit of your project. Make sure to address the costs that were expended due to your project as well as the expected return on investment that would make your project worthwhile.
3. Discuss future impact of your project. Include the expected long-term impact as well as possible future iterations of the project that may benefit the organization.
4. Visual appeal of the presentation- must be legible and engaging. See additional rubric for rating the presentation. Presentation must not exceed 10 minutes.
