In this week’s discussion board please provide an analysis of Clarke and Eddy’s concept of Cassandra identification. After any disaster we can always find someone that had been screaming that it was about to occur. But from a policy perspective what does that really mean? Decision makers need to understand what truly is a threat and what is simply a chicken little. Did Clarke and Eddy really give us the ability to identify true Cassandras? If not, what would you add? Or is it simply impossible to predict many future calamities and we just need to accept that?
