  • Carefully examine the following: Figure 10.1, Figure 10.5, Map 10.1 in the book, and, especially, this handout: Lifetime earning by educational attainment race sex (especially Figure 6 and 7).   • Discuss your thoughts and ideas as a reflection of that information. In particular, be sure to address the following two questions:
  1. How much of a person’s life outcome is the result of the opportunities and constraints provided by the society in which they live?
  2. In what ways does the information provided in these chapters and other readings change or reinforce your thinking about the world? Will it impact your behavior in any way?
