08 Aug creating the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the “DREAM HOUSE
Hypothetical Case
Your parents or guardians wish to construct their “DREAM HOME” and thus have requested
you to be their project manager. The definition of their “DREAM HOME” is a customised high
quality and sustainable house with at least 2 storeys and a basement garage on a land of 700
square metres.
Your tasks include:
1. talking to your parents or guardians, identifying their criteria and requirements of their
“DREAM HOUSE”, to help developing your Project Scope Statement (PSS);
2. creating the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the “DREAM HOUSE” project (in the
tree diagram format);
3. creating the WBS Dictionary, based on the WBS developed (i.e. item 2), highlighting
the details of the tasks
