1.An assignment for week seven is to submit a book report on a leadership related book. To make sure the book you choose for your report meets the desired outcomes of this course, I need to know about the book you have selected.
Please submit a brief summary of the book along with the title, the name of the author or authors and the publication date. The summary needs to be in your own words, not a cut and paste of a book review or the publisher’s blurb about the book. State the main theme of the book and how you might benefit from reading the book.
2.For this assignment you will need to find an article of leadership that is of interest to you. The article needs to be from a business magazine (Forbes, Harvard Business Review, Business Week, etc.), a business newspaper such as the Wall Street Journal, or a scholarly article from an edited book or other publication.
Your analysis should contain the following:
A discussion of the main purpose or points of the article.
The key question or questions the author is addressing.
- The main inferences or conclusions made in the article.
- How does the article relate to the contents of this course?
- What might be the benefits for you if you use the information from the article?
- What might be the consequences if you do not use the information from the article?
