Use of the current APA format for PowerPoint (PPT) presentations is expected. Post the PPT in the Threaded Discussion section, then view and evaluate two peers’ presentations for full credit for the assignment. Upload a copy of your identification in the assignment section in Canvas for grading.
Activity Criteria:
1. Select a patient that you have encountered in the clinic setting which has signs and symptoms of at least three psychiatric disorders and one medical condition.
2. Provide a 10-12 PPT slide overview of the case using Zoom
a. Introduction of Case
b. Demographics
c. Chief Complaint
d. History of Present Illness
e. Social, Medical, Psychiatric, Family, Surgical, Educational and Work History
f. Mental status exam with target symptoms for each psychiatric diagnosis
g. Appropriate laboratory or diagnostic test and appropriate screening tools
i. Treatment plan Include rationales (using scholarly references) for each section of the treatment plan.
3. Develop a scholarly PPT presentation. The presentation should be no more than 10 minutes. You are encouraged to share this case presentation with your preceptor and staff at your clinical site for feedback.
4. Once the PPT is created, each group member should utilize Zoom to present the PPT with video in the same setting. Follow the instructions for using Zoom located in Canvas under Getting Started in the Modules.
5. Be complete and concise. Use bulleted statements not complete sentences or paragraphs.
6. For presentation clarification, include presenter’s notes in the click to add section to explain the slide.
