Introduction
Cases provide an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts to real world problems. One case from the text will be assigned to student teams. I encourage you to be cognizant of your due dates and not wait until the last minute to begin working on your assigned case.
Directions
Case analyses should be guided by the questions at the end of each case. The written report should include: a) a summary of the case, b) relevance to chapter concepts being studied, c) answers to key questions, and d) 3 predictions and/or recommendations. These 4 parts must be under separate (and clearly labeled) headings or paragraphs.
For the predictions and recommendations section, focus on offering insights that a firm could use to develop strategies. This section should be in-depth and your suggestions should demonstrate that you are able to apply what you have learned from the material. Imagine that you are a consultant and that your recommendations will be used by the company to help shape their strategies. The written assignment should be double spaced, 1 inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pt font, no more than 8 pages but no less than 4.
