2. Obtain the 2021 and 2020 Forms 10-K for your chosen company, and other financial documents as necessary such as the Annual Report for purposes of locating the company’s 2021 and 2020 financial statements.

3. Research company profile and write an 8-10 page Research Paper & Prepare PowerPoint Slides to Present on Topics as Chosen/Assigned:

a. Executive Summary

· The first section of your research paper will be an executive summary briefly explaining the key aspects of the company.

· Keep your executive summary short, sweet, and to the point, but make sure your executive summary answers:

· Where and when was company founded and where is it headquartered?

· What types of products or services does the company offer?

· Who runs the company?

· How many employees does the company have?

· Noteworthy/significant recent company transactions, events, etc.

b. Prepare a Ratios analysis based on the Company’s Financial Statements

(i) Ratio Analysis – for your chosen company, select and calculate at least one ratio from each chapter covered in course (Chapters 1-11 and 13);

(ii) Horizontal analysis – for each selected ratio calculated, calculate same ratio for prior year 2020 and state whether there is an upward or downward company trend;

(iii) Competitor analysis – for 2021 only, identify your company’s primary competitor and state whether at least 6 of the calculated ratios are better or worse compared to the competitor;

(iv) Industry analysis — for 2021 only, identify your company’s primary industry and state whether at least 3 of the calculated ratios are better or worse compared to the industry average(s);
