The discovery of CAMP and CGMP as a second messenger in cell signaling has received Nobel Prize in Medicine/Physiology, respectively. Interestingly, in the past decade or so, a new cell-signaling molecule called CGAMP has been identified, which has been shown to be important in normal human physiology and some diseases. Assume you were a Nobel Prize winner (noble laureate) and you are invited to nominate scientist(s) (maximal of 3 scientists) who have made the most important contributions to the subject of cGAMP as a cell-signaling molecule. Please write a nomination letter or report (2 pages) which should focus on
1) who discovered what for the first time with reference support;
2) how CGAMP is generated inside mammalian cells; and 3) what is the specific target that CGAMP binds to and leads to signal transduction (The provided material is for your reference as one example only).
