Order Instructions
Logon to RCBC’s database or any journal article database. Search a topic of interest to you related to any area of developmental psychology. Find a full journal article that gives complete original, peer-reviewed information on a research study. Original research is usually written by the researcher(s). The article would contain an abstract and sections labeled Method, Participants or Sample, Discussions, Results etc.
List the following from the study: the research method used in the study; the hypothesis; the research question(s) ; independent and dependent variables (if applicable) or correlation variables (if applicable).
List the number of participants, numbers of males and females, age range of the participants, where they were recruited from, and how they were grouped.
Write a brief summary of the major findings of the study.
Write the reference source in APA format. Google “Purdue owl apa format references” for samples.
