The article that I choose has to do with the Birmingham Police department. They talk about how they offer different programs to help bridge the gap within their community. They offer S.R.O. Programs that have uniformed officers who serves their communities by policing the inside and outside of schools, serve as mentors and counselors. They also have CPO officers who increase public awareness of crimes and reporting techniques. Having all these different positions helps bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community
