Hello,

I have enjoyed reading your post. A lean production focus on improving the process performance that can be measured in terms of quality of the output, cost of creating the output and delivery of time (How are Lean and Quality Related?) The output of the process is as good as the quality of the inputs and how it processes itself. 

In the manufacturing industry, quality and productivity are important. The more production there is on the on the assembly line, the more units are being produced. Quality is a way to fix the problems whey they have started. Quality is a way to create a continuous improvement culture where the problems have been identified and how they are fixed.
