Inputs:
1. In my internship I have realised the outcome that data can produce in a variety of fields that how my enthusiasm started. Since then my passion and Interest continued to increase every day as I evolve to learn new knowledge about it. (Read about my Internship below)
2. After my internship as I tend to learn deep into data Science. I have volunteered in a research in my University which was vastly dependent on data and I was really shocked how helpful the data can be also I was admired how beautifully and conveniently data can be visualised to convey complex and large amounts of data into a single visualisation.
3. After the graduation I plan to gain more hands on experience in the industry and contribute the knowledge and experience gained in solving challenges that the various industries are facing in handling data.
4. I hope to gain more insightful knowledge of the methods and techniques to extract, analyse info from various forms of data and the entrepreneurship track I wish to choose gives me skills and knowledge to take data driven business decision. On whole this course acts as a bridge in connecting my technical skills and managerial skills which helps me in producing best output in my work. I wish this program polishes my technical and managerial skills to shine better.
5. The very important thing I like about this course is that it gives opportunity to conduct original research and the entrepreneurship elective track it offers. Because the research provides valuable insight knowledge in the field and entrepreneurship track allows to wipe out the boundaries between management and technical skills and helps me to take data driven business decisions.
Internship:
I took up a three-month internship at Zen3Tech, Hyderabad, in their Data Analytics domain, to gain more practical experience. Here, I worked for the first time with large datasets for a stock broking company to analyze and predict stock prices based on ML algorithms and Data Science techniques which has helped me to gain real time experience to work on Aws based micro services written in Java and Python. I’ve extensively worked on data mining and extraction for generating quantitative fundamental insights for model relevant Financial vendor services. I learned to work on Jupyter, TensorFlow and BigML. This gave me an insight into Data Science, due to which I ‘ve been fascinated to keep myself updated with its latest additions.
Research:
To further my interests in Data Science and Machine Learning that stemmed during my internship, I volunteered as a Research Student in my college from January 2020. Here, I worked on a project to analyze sleep disorders in individuals. In this project, I collected sleep metrics from smart watches and converted it into trained data. I applied statistical analysis and ML methods for Sleep Classification and Sleep Stage Prediction to this data to analyze and infer sleeping disorders.
