Angela is a 50 year old patient that has been diagnosed with Diabetes since 6 years ago. She has a BMI of 31. 68 and leads a sedentary life style. Her random glucose was noted to be 240 today in the doctor’s office. Her HbA1c is 9.5 and blood pressure is 160/95. She denies smoking and drinking alcohol, however implies that her mother was a smoker and diabetic. She started to have complete loss of sensation in her right foot and less loss of sensation in her left foot. The patient does take medicine for her Diabetes for the past 4 years.
