Create your job advancement, job search, or career change plan.
Write a 3- to 4-page paper (maximum: 12-point font, 1-inch margins) outlining actions you will take in the coming year to advance in your current job, find a new job, or change your career field. (I have a real estate liscence currently but am looking to also become a lawyer)
Include What/When/How details for specific steps you will take to:
work with your supervisor to advance; gain new skills;
network;
research possible new employers;
obtain and conduct information interviews;
use other job search help (be specific);
present yourself to potential employers in writing, by phone, and in person;
manage job interviews; and
manage job search follow-ups.
You can create a list, a WORD table, or a narrative. For inspiration, here’s a sample of a basic GANTT chart:

And here’s a page of other GANTT chart examples. I don’t expect you to create a GANTT chart, since that requires special software. But I hope seeing some examples will give you some ideas for organizing your career plan.
