1. Democracy as an ideal suggests that every person should have an equal chance at influencing the political decision making process. Political equality (one person, one vote) is a value of the American political culture. Today, do we have political equality (in terms of influencing the political system) in the United States? If yes, how so? If no, why not? You must reference at least two academic articles to support your position.
Moreover, another way of analyzing political equality includes:
Are Americans equal before the law?
