• Write a short description of the microbes you have identified from your sample. (½ page)
• You may include basic information about the organisms (Gram reaction/ Cell shape / Biochemical
characteristics etc), and other features such as: where this organism is usually found, is it
pathogenic, is it used in industry, etc.
• Importance of Identification.
METHODOLODY: (20 points)
• Procedure for receiving culture (how the culture is received)
• Procedure for Preliminary analysis of the culture using macroscopic and microscopic characteristics
• Procedure for selective and differential plating
• Procedure for purity plating
• Procedure for Biochemical testing
RESULTS/DATA: (25 points)
