In your role as Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you are commonly asked to provide insight into legal matters impacting the company. Your employer is currently dealing with a tort claim by a former employee. However, the concept of defenses to tort claims is a relatively unknown area for the leadership of your company. Your leadership wants to be enlightened in regard to defenses to tort claims. With your legal education, the leadership structure feels that you would be the optimal person to deliver this content.
You will construct a PowerPoint presentation that details the various defenses to tort claims. You are asked to detail the defenses to torts. Additionally, you are asked to give prominent examples of each defense using real-life cases as your basis. As such, your objective is to deliver the detail of each defense and one prominent case for each defense in order to highlight the practical usefulness of the defenses.
The PowerPoint presentation will be 12-15 slides, containing at least 100 words per slide. Title and reference slides do not count in this total. Each slide must be accompanied by slide notes containing at least 200 words per slide note. The presentation should be aesthetically pleasing and should contain a reference slide(s) with sources referenced in APA format.
