You are expected to conduct an independent research project on a topic of your choice. This is a good opportunity to apply the econometric modelling tools to real-world data analytics. In this project, you are responsible for posing a valid research question, surveying the relevant literature, obtaining the appropriate data, completing rigorous econometric analysis, discussing the estimation results, and making policy suggestions. The final output of this project is a research paper, which typically includes the following sections: abstract, introduction, literature review, estimation method, data and sample, empirical results, conclusions, and reference list. The paper should be in PDF format with an expected length of 3000-5000 words. You should also add STATA codes in appendix (simple copy and paste would do). You don’t need to submit the data you used. You should also submit PDF file.
