1. Select 1 regulatory agency from the following list: 
   
   • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 
   • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 
   • Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) 
   • Office of Inspector General (OIG) 
   • Another local or state health care regulatory agency, with approval from your instructor 
   • Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper that discusses the following: 
   • The laws and regulations that apply to the agency 
   • The public purpose of the agency 
   • The integration or impact of the agency with the organization’s compliance department  
   • Cite 3 reputable references to support your assignment (e.g., trade or industry publications, government or agency websites, scholarly works, or other sources of similar quality). At least two must be scholarly or peer-reviewed. 

     Format your assignment according to APA guidelines.  Please use the APA sample template (Master's level 1) as a guide.
