Background

Urgent indicated plastic surgical services has increased dramatically in Aseer Region over the last three decades1. As the important specialty, the mainstays of the plastic surgery urgent workload include burns facial injuries, necrotizing infections and hand trauma. There are guidelines on the optimum management of such causes and for the management of indicated surgery identifying delays to prompt management and recommending timelines in which definitive management should occur. Trauma is a significant part of the workload in plastic surgery. There are currently wide variations in the available resource for dealing with these patients. Delays to treatment currently exist and may result in poorer clinical patient-oriented outcomes.

Research Question

Does the charitable action (interventions-driven) by Plastic Surgery Charitable Action Team affect the patient-oriented outcomes for cosmetic indicated waiting listed surgeries and on the improving the best practices among professional in Aseer region?

Hypothesis
