FIRST AMENDMENT HERO PAPER: You will write a 500-word research paper telling the story of the First Amendment hero of your choice. The paper will include an explanation as to what this person did as a First Amendment Hero and relevant events in his or her life. Note, the heroes listed below are known as artists, activists, writers, and politicians. They are complex people with potential activities that might be described in good and evil ways; not all are likeable. Address this complexity where appropriate. Focus in this paper on what they did related to the First Amendment.
Paper requirements (10 points):
No direct quotes. All information must be paraphrased. One purpose of this paper is to learn how to summarize but not plagiarize.
Include a minimum of three sources appropriate for a research paper. You most likely will need five. All information must be cited.
Use APA in-text citations and works cited formats. Notably, web addresses are not citations.
You must include at least three sources. Do not use encyclopedias (such as Biography.com or History.com) or textbooks.
Paper is a minimum of 500 words, double-spaced, standard type and formatting. Edit carefully for grammar and clarity
