1. Select a group or population from those defined as ‘vulnerable’, based on the current literature and credible resources online.
2. Perform a literature search and review of at least 3 articles on your chosen population.
a. Describe the vulnerable population and commonly reported or potential disparities in mental health care settings.
b. What are the specific circumstances or factors that contribute to persistent gaps/barriers in mental health care and/or lowered quality of life among members of this group compared to other groups?
c. Provide at least one example of personal perceptions or experiences that members of this group have reported, based on the literature and other credible resources online.
d. Devise potential interventions the PMHNP may apply in practice to mitigate or reduce some of the barriers or disparities described earlier.
