You will submit the below content for a case study that will be provided in eLearn week three or week four.

A.      Provide title of Case study with Client “name”

B.      Ethical Decision-Making Model (see details for each step pages 17-18 in the textbook to fully integrate each step).

Be specific to the case study.  Integrate the ACA ethical codes, the textbook, and a minimum of four peer-reviewed journal articles published in the last 5-10 years.  Demonstrate critical thinking and original thought.  Develop this information as if this was a client case you will have in practicum/internship.  The sections that need to be in APA format in third person are noted in ****below.  Other sections provide graduate level writing but can be in journal format of sharing your clinical ideas.

In real life as a working clinician, the steps may not be in this exact order.  However, for the purposes of the assignment provide the content in the following order and number each section for clarity reviewing the assignment for grading:

1.      Identify and Define the Problem (1-3 paragraphs)

2.      Describe how you might involve the the Client in the Decision-Making Process (1-3 paragraphs)

3.      Review Relevant Codes of Ethics, Laws/Statues, and Peer reviewed literature that may apply to this case  (minimum of 2 pages of content minimum and 3 pages maximum) ***this section by citing in APA format third person

4.      Consider Moral Principles—See page 11 in Textbook for Six moral principles: Respect for autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence, justice, fidelity, and veracity.  Be clear in your writing each moral principle being applied to the case study  (1-3 paragraphs) ***this section by citing in APA format third person

5.      Tune into your feelings and describe here how you feel about the best options.  (1-3 paragraphs)

6.      Consult with colleagues or experts  (1-3 paragraphs) ***this section by citing in APA format third person

7.      Consider the context, culture, worldview, and systemic impact on the client,

community, and family system  (1-3 paragraphs) ***this section by citing in APA format third person

8.      Identify the desired outcomes and consider possible actions to achieve desired outcomes  (1-3 paragraphs)

9.      Choose and act on your choice—There could be more than one choice.  What is the best legal and ethical response in this situation considering first the law/statues in Illinois, ACA code of ethics, and best interest of the client? (1-3 paragraphs)

10.  How does this final choice for the case study meet the self-tests described on page 18 of your textbook? (justice, universality, publicity, reversibility, and moral traces)  (1-3 paragraphs)

Following the recommended lengths of each section above leaves an estimated 5-7 pages.  Reference list included.
