   1. First, explain the purpose of criminal law.
   2. Then, describe each of the following types of punishment: 
      • Deterrence
      • Rehabilitation
      • Incapacitation
      • Retribution
   3. Finally, argue which type of punishment is preferable/most appropriate in today’s society.
