Class, in this chapter we are discussing the use of Job Design, Job Analysis and Job Descriptions in creating a workplace where employees understand their roles and contributions to the organization. 

  • To complete this exercise you will have to read Chapter 4 paying close attention to the use of Job Analysis and Job Descriptions. 
  • For this exercise, we will be creating a database of information regarding your findings on the following: 
    • The Nature of work and jobs is ever-changing.
    • Describe these changes and some reasons for them and
    • How are these changes affecting both human resource management and employees?
  1. You are to source one or more resources (journal or periodical articles, Ted Talk or YouTube videos, etc.) based on the above questions.
  2. You are to make one entry into the database, providing a short writeup (Minimum 150 words) 
  3. Your entries must include a link to your source 
  4. Your entries must include your name to receive a grade, preferably in the title box or at the beginning of your write-up
  5. If you receive an error message, check to see if you have a "space" at the beginning of your URL address.
  6. You must click on the Add Entry tab to make your entry.  This tab along with the SAVE tab is located at the bottom right of the page.
  7. You must make your entry first before you will see the entries of your peers
