Some can be seen in culturally biased aspects of the DSM-5 to research that should only be applied to small population subsets rather than general statements about all individuals. Since much of psychology research aims to make general statements that apply to all individuals and cultures, it is essential to consider diversity when conducting psychological research, including the participants used and research processes.
